Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

Italians, do not come for me! I am using the term “homemade” loosely here, lol! I have never found a jar spaghetti sauce that I really like, so I took matters into my own hands. No, I’m not crushing tomatoes… but this is quick and easy, and it’s delicious! You can add meat if you like, but I typically eat it without. 

Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients

  • cup Olive Oil
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 15 oz cans Tomato Sauce
  • 1 6 oz can Tomato Paste
  • 2 Tbsp Dried Basil
  • Tbsp Oregano
  • ½ Tbsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • ¼ tsp Cayenne

Instructions

  • In a medium pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the garlic powder to the olive oil and let it simmer until it becomes aromatic.
  • Add the tomato sauce and tomato paste and stir.
  • Add all of the other ingredients and stir.
  • Let simmer for at least 30 minutes.
  • Serve over your favorite noodles and enjoy!
